Planning Your Trip
Only a 20 minute drive from Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills offers the rare combination of proximity to a capital city with the feel of being a world away.
Touching the Barossa Valley to the north and McLaren Vale to the south, the region can be accessed from many directions (for more details, see Adelaide Hills Wine Region Map). Road access from the city centre is via the South Eastern Freeway, which links Adelaide to Melbourne. Major towns in the Adelaide Hills, including Stirling, Hahndorf, Mount Barker, Lobethal and Birdwood, are all well sign-posted from the freeway.
Plan your trip by searching by winery, opening hours or wine variety and add them to your personalised trip planner. Or you can take one of our suggested routes through the Hills.
